Queensland Teacher Aides - lighting the way together

LHMU Queensland - achieving for teacher aides Teacher aides together

Since teacher aides became established in the state education system in 1974, the LHMU has provided their industrial representation.

In the early days, teacher aides were casual employees with limited wages and conditions. All this has changed.

LHMU and its teacher aide members have worked very hard for more than 35 years to achieve major improvements in wages and conditions.

They have also achieved recognition of the important role that teacher aides play in our education system.

This section of the website is designed to provide access to resources addressing the needs of Queensland teacher aides.
