United Voice members in Victoria come from many different industries and backgrounds including catering, casinos, hotels, pubs and clubs; cleaning; security; childcare, ambulance, teacher aides and education; and laundries, baking, food, paint, plastics and beverages.
United Voice helps organise in workplaces, provides members with support and advice, appears in industrial courts and lobbies politicians.
Members play an important role in setting the agenda of the Union at all levels. Each branch has a democratic structure that gives members a real voice in the way it operates.
The Victorian Branch employs over 40 full-time officials, and is run by a Branch Council made up of rank-and-file members.
