Over 200 Hobart CBD cleaners are being left behind. While CBD cleaners on the mainland are enjoying higher wages and better working conditions through their Clean Start Agreement, Hobart cleaners are being held back forced to live on poverty wages. Two cleaning companies-ABC Healthcare Services & General and Window Cleaning-are flat out refusing to endorse the Clean Start standards.
Wealthy building owners, like Robert Rockefeller, need to be made aware of the cleaners' plight and encouraged to require their contracting cleaning companies to pay living wages. There should be a higher standard. Robert Rockefeller needs to step up and support the cleaners who clean his properties. Sign the petition telling Robert Rockefeller that Hobart cleaners deserve a living wage.
