Call Daniel Now! 10 hr Breaks: Yes or No?

Mon 27 Jul 09 Comments

Your health minister, Daniel Andrews, has tried to silence paramedics.

Call Daniel Campaign Image

He used expensive lawyers to have our industrial action for a safer ambulance service stopped.

He wants to sweep paramedic fatigue under the carpet. He hopes everyone will forget about this issue.

We can’t let him get away with this. Would he want fatigued ambos making life and death decisions about his family members?

Call Daniel Andrews NOW on 03 9096 8561

Ask him: Why won’t he support 10 hour rest breaks for our ambos?

Here are some points to keep in mind when you call:

  •     * Ambos often work more than 15 hours straight and then have to be back at work eight hours later.

  •     * They may only get five hours sleep, leaving them exhausted when they start their next shift.

  •     * Many ambos have fallen asleep driving. Some have even made clinical errors because of their extreme fatigue.

  •     * Every other state besides WA has dumped eight hour breaks because they are too dangerous.

Please let us know once you’ve called Daniel Andrews
