Crown workers demand a better deal
Crown employees work hard to make millions of dollars for Australia’s “number one” casino.
In a couple of weeks, more than 12 months will have elapsed since we last saw a pay increase.
Currently, Crown’s pay offer is a 3% increase in 2010, 2011 and 2012.
That offer is:
- less than what we got last time
- less than what was recently paid to Burswood Casino workers for the same period which was 4%, 3.5% and 3.5%
- less than the increase to total Crown revenue during 2008 – 2009 which was 8.3%
- less than the improvement to Crown’s total profits during 2008 – 2009 which was 7.5%
- less than the average outcomes for collective agreements recently made in comparative industries
It is time for Crown management to get real!
Crown want to remain the number one casino in the country. So Crown employees need to be treated with the kind of respect you would give to the number one casino workers in the country.
This means Crown needs to increase its pay offer!
Crown needs to stop trying to cut conditions.
Crown needs to start saying 'yes' to making Crown a better place to work.
