In Public Hands campaign website up and running

Wed 05 May 10 Comments (2)

A website dedicated to the LHMU’s campaign to stop privatisation in our hospitals and schools is up and running.

The website (inpublichands.com.au) contains full details of the government’s plans to privatise essential health services in the new hospitals planned for the state, as well as concerns about its intentions for school cleaning.
Research into why privatisation does not work features on the site as well as press releases, newspaper articles, TV news reports and advertising associated with the campaign.
Labor’s No Privitisation of Schools and Hospitals Bill can be read as well as shadow health minister Roger Cook’s second speech reading.
Visitors to the site are also invited to take action by emailing key MPs and asking them to support the Bill. They can also download petitions and get tips on writing about the privatisation issue to their local newspaper.
The site will be regularly updated with all the latest news and events surrounding the campaign, including the comments of MPs in WA who have been asked by the LHMU if they will support the Bill.
So log on and get involved!

these people need to look at what happened in UK, where privatisation has proved disastrous, increaed rates on msda and other bugs, lack of frontline staff and bloated and overpaid management
