LHMU Jupiter’s casino delegates held mass meetings with part-time Table Games employees on Friday 11 June to discuss their concerns with casino management’s proposal to reduce part-time hours.

Casino management are proposing changes to part-time rosters, which will see a reduction in hours, 12 months short of scheduled negotiations for a new site agreement, without any consultation with employees or LHMU. Jupiter's mass meetings 2010

The only opportunity employees were given to discuss the proposed changes was when they were called into Human Resources to sign new contracts.

At the mass meetings Table Games employees decided they weren’t going to stand for this and the following resolution was moved:

“LHMU members were in dispute over Tabcorp’s proposed roster changes and LHMU members were enforcing the Status Quo Action as of 3.30pm on Friday 11th June.  As outlined in the agreement by working the hours they are contracted to rather than the reduced hours proposed by Conrad Jupiter’s in contravention of the agreement”.

This Status Quo will remain in place until such time that this dispute is resolved to the satisfaction of LHMU members.
