"We have to mobilise with other workers to fight for improvements," Sajit said. "We want and need to be part of the solution to end exploitation of all workers, including international students."
Sajit said he was inspired to join the LHMU and then become a member organiser because it was a union "that was fighting for equality".
He said most cleaners in Sydney were international students and "deserved to be treated fairly". "It gave me hope that there was a union that was trying proactively to change the lives of cleaners and international students," Sagit said.
"That's why the LHMU supports this campaign and calls on the government to give International students a fair go which is what they deserve. But I call on all of you to actively engage in this campaign. Together we will win equality."
The Clean Start campaign is fighting for seven fair solutions in cleaning. They include:  fair treatment, hours, workloads, pay, job security, leave and rights. march
