Queensland Diagnostic Imaging (QDI) employees gear up to vote NO

Tue 10 Feb 09 Comments

Primary Health Care, who recently bought QDI, has produced a low wage, non-union agreement proposal which opened for employees to vote on from Monday 9 February.

LHMU members have unanimously endorsed a ‘NO’ campaign, determined to vote down the sub-standard proposed agreement.

While employees seek decent market rates against the wishes of management, Directors of Primary Health Care awarded themselves a pay rise of nearly seven million dollars last year.

As a result of some members expressing concern over the requirement to sign the ballot paper prior to its submission, the LHMU has agreed on behalf of members, to present concerns to the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission for their assessment on Wednesday 11 February.

Further updates will be made available following the release of any outcomes affecting Primary Health Care's agreement ballot.
