LHMU members took a stand and joined the combined unions rally against privatisation in Brisbane last Friday.
More than 1,500 people participated in the rally at the Roma Street Parklands forum which later marched on Parliament.
The rally clearly demonstrated community dissatisfaction with the Governments decision to sell Queensland assets and Queensland jobs.
Outside Parliament, members delivered their message by symbolically turning their back on the Government as a warning to Premier Anna Bligh of what the broader community will do if she continues with plans to sell Queensland jobs.
The rally marked a high point of a month of rallies across Queensland which will act to launch the union campaign against privatisation in Queensland.
