Employees at Conrad's Treasury Casino in Brisbane, who were hopeful of achieving fair outcomes in their new agreement after several months of negotiations, were disappointed when they received management's sub-standard offer recently.
The agreement offers only a 3% wage increase and is proposed to expire on 31 December 2009.
After months of negotiations, workplace delegates met with management on Thursday 2 April hopeful of an agreement offer which addressed their Log of Claims.
Despite the fact delegates agreed to allow management more time to prepare their offer, the proposed agreement has failed to meet the expectations of employees.
Employees are therefore encouraged to VOTE NO to this offer for five reasons:
1. A backward step in your conditions - sick leave
2. A backward step in your wages
3. TABCORP can afford more
4. Management may threaten staff with loss of back-pay
5. You will be voting for a non-union agreement
Remember .. VOTE NO.
We can achieve good outcomes if we work together.
