Who else supports NSW school cleaners?
As part of their "KEEP IT CLEAN for our schools' future" campaign, school cleaners have been meeting their local MPs and telling them their stories, and getting support postcards signed.
So far, these are the MPs helping school cleaners win a fair cleaning contract:
Member for Wollondilly and Minister for Water and Corrective Services Phillip Costa
Member for Drummoyne, Angela D'Amore
Member for Camden, Geoff Corrigan
Member for Mount Druitt, Richard Amery
Member for Heathcote and Minister for Ports & Waterways Paul MacLeay
Member for Miranda Barry Collier
Member for Campbelltown and Minister for Juvenile Justice Graham West
Member for Kogarah, Cherie Burton
Member for Smithfield, Ninos Khoshaba
Cleaners are also asking for support from the school community including teachers, principals and P&Cs.
In the first two weeks of the campaign, cleaners have already collected more than 800 support postcards from teachers, 100 from principals, and 550 from parents.
